Founded in 2008, ERTMS Solutions is a world leader in railway testing, maintenance and systems integration tools notably compatible with the ERTMS (European Railway Traffic Management System) standard. We work with many key actors in railway signaling: Manufacturers, Rail Infrastructure Managers, and Operators.

Combining software, hardware, broader railway signaling activities, and semantics-based developments, such as complex systems integration, ERTMS Solutions develops both off-the-shelf solutions, as well as custom products that are specially adapted to customer needs.

These products help our customers in the design, testing, and commissioning of railway signaling projects, and in subsequent railway signaling infrastructure maintenance and monitoring.

The Function

  • - You report to the Business Development Director who will coach you during your first months, together with the marketing and legal teams. In close collaboration with marketing team, but also with legal and the technical teams, you develop ERTMS Solutions’ business in its customer base and select appropriate partners in dedicated markets to be defined by Business Development Director (and according to the company’s strategy).
  • - Accompanying the partners in selling to local customers as well as making sure partners become more and more independent in selling ERTMS Solutions products is also key in this role.
  • - The function, being a front desk towards customers, will require a lot of travel (40 - 50%), in Europe and outside Europe.
  • - Technical interactions (internal and with customers and prospects) in your daily life make you a central element in our innovative company.
  • - The function is based in Brussels and is full-time.

Your profile

You love technology, you are able to anticipate our customer needs and propose solutions, based upon your knowledge of our internal capabilities and mission. Often, you’ll generate new ideas on the spot, with a strong technical instinct for ideas that are feasible. You don’t need to be an expert in one technology, but you have the flexibility to understand advantages and constraints of various technologies.

  • - You have a technical background (engineering), or equivalent by experience.
  • - You have 5+ years’ sales experience, in an industrial environment. You are used to sell customized products. Experience in building partnerships is a sound value added.
  • - You are a dynamic, no non-sense sales person, able to let things move on while having outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • - You have great perseverance and will proceed what has been started even for long-term business opportunity.
  • - You can think out of the box and are constantly looking at improvements which can make the whole team’s life easier, and the results of the company grow.
  • - You have a perfect command of English (spoken and written), and French. Any other language is a plus; you are willing to improve your languages if needed.
